Bayelsans and residents have been advised to continue to observe all public health advisories and stay safe from the coronavirus.
Chief Freston Akpor Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information and Orientation and member Bayelsa State Taskforce on COVID-19 made the appeal in a statement in Yenagoa.
Chief Akpor commended Frontline Teams at the two treatment centres in the State for their steadfastness, the Contact Teams and Medical professionals for demonstrating commitment in their efforts at managing the sick and defeating the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to him a total of seven persons who tested positive with Covid-19 are undergoing treatment in the state’s treatment centres have been discharged after full recovery and satisfying NCDC protocol.
Similarly 6 patients were discharged at the weekend from the Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa treatment centre the Niger Delta Teaching Hospital Okolobiri treatment centres.
Currently three active cases at the treatment centres are responding to treatment.
