The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has categorically denied allegations of misappropriating 7.7 billion naira on consultancy services, calling the claims by Sahara Reporters “false, malicious, and misleading.”
According to the NCDMB, the allegations are baseless and aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Board and its Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe.
The Board emphasized that it operates under strict government regulations and oversight bodies, ensuring transparency and accountability in all its operations.
The NCDMB also highlighted its achievements, including ranking first three consecutive times in the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Compliance Report for transparency and accountability.
The Board has also received awards for excellence in digital governance and public sector innovation.
The denial comes after Sahara Reporters published an exclusive report claiming that the NCDMB spent 7.7 billion naira on consultancy services without due approval.
The NCDMB has urged the public and media houses to verify their sources of information before publishing reports, emphasizing that it has an open and accessible corporate communications team.
The Board remains committed to its core mandate of building local capacity and empowering Nigerians to participate effectively in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, aligning its initiatives with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
