Chief Godknows Obein, the All Progressives Congress (APC) member representing Ogbia Constituency 2 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has praised the people of Ayakoro community for their dedication to celebrating the annual “Eyal Obeyin” festival.
This year’s celebration marked the 67th anniversary of the festival, which embodies the spirit of resilience and determination exhibited by the community’s forebears.
Obein commended the Paramount Ruler, CDC leadership, and the community members for sustaining their cultural heritage, adding that the annual celebration promotes harmony, collaboration, peace, and tolerance.
He reiterated his commitment to pushing for legislation that improves the lives of his constituents, prioritizing their welfare through empowerment initiatives and projects.
The lawmaker also lauded the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Samuel Ogbuku, for the unprecedented transformation in the Niger Delta region, particularly in Ayakoro community.
He urged the community to continue exhibiting their hospitality and brotherliness while rallying support for Chief Ogbuku.
