Youths across the Niger Delta region have been advised to maintain the existing peace in order to attract investment opportunities and development to the region.
Ex-Agitator Gen. Abiri Stanley, alias ‘Faceless gave the advice in a media briefing in yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital, while appraising the progress and achievements of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), under the leadership of the Administrator, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro.
Gen.Abiri, who is the State Coordinator of the Third Phase of Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), across the Niger Delta, also appealed to the youths to follow the part of peace, inspite of their political differences and contribute their quota to the meaningful development of the region.
He particularly call on the youths of Rivers state to be on the part of peace, during this period of emergency rule and never be weary. Adding that, at the end of the tunnel there will be light.
The ex-agitator also call on the beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme ( PAP), to give maximum support to the Administrator of the programme, Dr. Otuaro to change the narrative and add value to the lives of beneficiaries of the programme.
According to him, Otuaro have not only redefined administration through bold and transformative policies in the programme but have also shown the true essence of putting the beneficiaries welfare as top priority.
He noted that, under Dr. Otuaro leadership, significant strides have been made in training , education and other key sectors of the programme, leading to the overall upliftment of the lives of ex-agitators.
According to him, peace is sacrosanct, and warned that without peace there can be no meaningful development, and urged the youths to toe the part of peace to change their lives.
